SMR Technologies, a systems designer and integrator that manufactured specialty products for the aviation industry. SMR Technologies served three market sectors including Commercial Aircraft, Business/Commuter Aircraft and Government/ Industrial Products.

Commercial Aircraft products included fire and smoke barrier systems, emergency and fixed helicopter floatation systems, lightweight Kevlar™ cargo restraint systems and numerous fabricated products for Boeing aircraft.

Business/Commuter Aircraft products included pneumatic and electrothermal de-icing systems for propeller-driven, multi-engine aircraft. In 1997, SMR Technologies introduced newly FAA-certified pneumatic and electrothermal de-icing systems product lines to compete with BFGoodrich which was virtually the sole supplier to this market.

Government/Industrial Products included mid-air refueling components, inflatable seals, Mark VI inflatable lifeboats, hovercraft undercarriage skirting systems, vestibule seals for passenger trains and a package sorting system for United Parcel Service.
