David B. Smith is Executive Vice President of The SMR Group, Ltd.

Smith was previously Executive Vice President of SMR Aerospace and Director of its companies, SMR Technologies, Inc., and Flight Structures, Inc. (FSI).

Smith held a variety of senior management positions throughout his 15-year career with BFGoodrich Aerospace including general manager, engineered rubber products; and manager, marketing and sales for engineered rubber products, aircraft evacuation systems and aircraft tires.

His professional memberships have included the Society of Automotive Engineers, S-9 Cabin Safety Committee; American Helicopter Society; Helicopter Association International; Society for the Advancement of Materials and Processing Engineers; American Defense Preparedness Association; International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading; Cargo Facts; and support committees to the Air Transport Association and Regional Airline Association; Modification and Replacement Parts Association and the National Business Aircraft Association. Smith is also a private pilot and member of AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association).
