FLIGHT STRUCTURES, INC.

FSI designed and certified a wide range of modifications to commercial aircraft and manufactured related components. FSI sold products in three market sectors: Airframe Modifications - Passenger to Freighter Conversions, Crew Rest Compartments and Interior Reconfigurations and provided certification to regulatory bodies worldwide.

Airframe Modifications - Passenger to Freighter Conversions, covered a variety of structural aircraft engineering designs, but principally involved the conversion of passenger aircraft into freighters. FSI was considered a world leader in this market. FSI's leading design capabilities, in-house manufacturing facilities, project management expertise and certification abilities provided it with significant competitive advantages. Aircraft which the Company had converted from passenger aircraft into freighters included the Boeing 747, 767 and the Airbus A300. In addition, FSI manufactured the structural components needed for hushkits for the Boeing 727.

As the leader in the design and manufacture of Crew Rest Compartments used on wide-body aircraft that typically fly long-haul routes, the company has been a leader in this field since it developed the initial crew/attendant rests for the Boeing 747 aircraft. FSI's crew rest designs have become the industry standard and are now used on Boeing and Airbus wide-bodied aircraft.

Interior Reconfigurations involved the design of various systems and their integration with an aircraft's interior structure. FSI provided a comprehensive package which included structural and systems design, stress substantiation, technical manual revisions, parts manufacture and complete regulatory certification.
